Far South Coast Series Race # 3

A Far South Coast race series is slowly gathering momentum, with the first race held at Bermagui in April with about forty riders turning up. The next one on the 13th June saw an increase in numbers. There was some hot competition considering that, following the first race, a couple of riders had been spotted doing a fair bit of training.

There was a number of bling demo bikes available at the Bermi race from Pivot, Trek, Gary Fisher and Kona. We are very grateful to Simon from TREK & Ben from KONA for attending & letting the riders have a go on their bikes. This sure adds another level to our inaugural Far South Coast Race series.

The next race will be at Manna Park on the 23rd August. It will be the first race on the approx 7 km loop that features some more technical sections, but with easy although slower detours to cater for all riders.

The emphasis at these events is on fun and participation with a bit of friendly competition thrown in. Categories include Under 10's, Under 15's and Opens. There are great random prizes donated by Tathra Beach and Bike, JetBlack, Kona and Trek, a sausage sizzle and drinks will be available as well. As the series progress we may look at another division or two so us old buggers can win something too.

All riders must present a current MTBA license. Annual licenses are available through club secretaries.

Competitor Declaration
Representations and Warranties – I Represent and Warrant as follows in the License as follows 1) I am in good physical condition and have no disability, impairment or ailment that will prevent me from engaging in any one of the above events, or that will be detrimental to my health, safety, comfort or physical condition of others while participating in the event or while at or near the event.

Release and Indemnity
I hereby release and forever discharge each of the Licensors and other entities, including Jane Corben Enterprises, Tathra Beach and Bike and MTBA their officers, directors, employees, agents, and contractors, from any and all claims, suits, demands, expenses, costs, actions, and proceedings of any nature whatsoever, which I, my executors or administrators or any other person, has or might assert against any of them arising from, in relation to any incident to or by virtue of any injury, loss or damage suffered or sustained by me in connection with my participation in the Event or at any time when I am near the Event. I hereby indemnify and hold harmless and shall keep indemnified and held harmless, each of the licensors, its officers, directors, employees, agents and contractors, from any and all claims suits demands, expenses, costs, actions and proceedings of any nature whatsoever arising from, in relation to or by virtue of 1) any injury, loss or damage sustained by me. 2) Any injury, loss or damage suffered by any other person as a result of any act, omission, neglect or default on my part, in connection with my participation in the event or at any time when I am near the Event.

I hereby agree that in the event of a race cancellation due to storm, rain, accident, inclement weather, wind, or any other unforeseeable conditions including personal injury or bike damage, my entry fee will not be refunded.

I have carefully read this entry form and agree to abide by all the rules and directions of all race officials on the day.

Cancellation / Refund Policy: Thredbo is prone to all different extremes of weather conditions, which means we have to take into account certain precautions to protect the safety of all mountain bikers. Our tours/rides maybe cancelled at the discretion of the mountain management if there are extreme weather conditions, such as lightning. There are no refunds if rides are cancelled for reasons beyond our control, such as bad weather.
